IF Elfsborg secured a key away win in the Allsvenskan by defeating Djurgårdens IF 2-1. The victory came after a late turnaround at Tele2 Arena on Saturday.
Rasmus Wikström opened the scoring for Elfsborg in the 44th minute. Djurgården equalised in the 66th minute through Jacob Une Larsson, assisted by Kristian Strømland Lien. Simon Olsson then won the game for the visitors in the 76th minute following a pass from Alexander Jensen.
Elfsborg coach Björn Hamberg received a yellow card for dissent late in the match. The team had 45 percent possession but registered more shots, 15 to Djurgården's 9. Their three shots on target were enough to secure the three points.
With the win, IF Elfsborg strengthen their hold on fourth place in the Allsvenskan. They now have 37 points from 22 matches. The team has won three of its last five games and enters a break in good form.
Leo Håkan Östman, who was substituted in the 75th minute, is the team's top scorer this season with six goals. Per Frick remains sidelined.
