IF Elfsborg is happy to present Tim Erlandsson as the new goalkeeper. The goalkeeper has signed a contract for the 2027 season. Welcome, Tim! I'm extremely happy and proud to sign for Elfsborg and look forward to the time here now. A new chapter for me in my career, says Tim Erlandsson. Tim Erlandsson comes from Halmstads BK, which is also his hometown club, where he has played a total of 40 competitive matches over the past two seasons, including 23 Allsvenskan matches last season. He has previously had a background in Falkenbergs FF, IK Frej and AFC Eskilstuna, as well as three English clubs where he was a young player in Nottingham, Barrow and Salford. It's part of my education in English football, which I think has shaped me a lot as a football player and goalkeeper, but also as a person - with the experience of moving to England as a young boy. You really have to take charge as a goalkeeper to not get overrun. A lot of that I think I've taken with me to the goalkeeper I am today and to the strengths I have in my game, says Tim. In the past two seasons, he has played for Halmstads BK, where he was recruited by Elfsborg's former coach Magnus Haglund during his time at Halmstads BK. I came with the intention of taking the first place. It was me who was going to show who I am, what I can do and prove myself on the Allsvenskan level and stage, and I think I did it already from the start. I got the chance early in Allsvenskan, took it and had two great seasons in Halmstad, both for myself and for the club. We also managed to stay in Allsvenskan over the two seasons, which of course was extra nice for me personally, to be able to help the club with it, says he. After the 2025 season, the 29-year-old's contract with HBK expired and he joined IF Elfsborg as a free agent. During the recent gold and black training camp in Spain, Tim Erlandsson was present to train with the team. Now he strengthens the already strong goalkeeper lineup with Isak Pettersson and Lucas Hägg Johansson. Tim looks forward to continuing to work with his goalkeeper colleagues and goalkeeper coach Andreas Larsson. From the group and the boys in the team, I got a very good feeling right away. I knew some of them beforehand, which may have made it a bit easier. Isak Pettersson I know from my time in HBK's U17 and U19 teams, so we've played together before. Taylor Silverholt I played with in Falkenberg. He's a Halmstad boy, and I've also played with his brothers in HBK. IF Elfsborg as a club is a genuine association, with people who work hard for the goals and ambitions that are here. I got a very good feeling right away. Maybe most important for me as a goalkeeper is the image of Andreas Larsson, goalkeeper coach, which I really like. He's a very ambitious coach and I really look forward to working with him, continues Tim. How would you describe yourself as a goalkeeper? I would say that I am a stable goalkeeper. I master all parts of the goalkeeper game in a good way. I'm a physical goalkeeper who likes to dominate in my penalty area and at the same time use my game understanding to be in the right place in situations, both inside and outside the penalty area. I like to be offensive in my goalkeeper game, and to describe myself as a stable goal
