Richtnér welcomed the move after a frustrating spring marred by injuries. – After bad luck with injuries this spring, this feels like a good solution with hopefully more regular playing time, he said. – I wish the lads all the best this season.

The loan frees up a squad spot for Elfsborg, who have scored five goals and conceded two so far, with a goal difference of plus three. Their next fixture is at home against Västerås SK FK on August 16, when they face an eighth-placed team.
For Richtnér, the move offers a chance to return stronger after injury setbacks. He has made eight Allsvenskan appearances for Elfsborg and was previously loaned out last season, to Örebro SK.
