IF Elfsborg has lost a valuable talent in the form of center back Leo Väisänen. He is leaving the club to join Austin FC in the USA. Väisänen has been an important part of Elfsborg's team over the past three years and has made 94 appearances for the club, scoring four goals and four assists.

Väisänen has also been a part of Finland's national team and has made 23 appearances for his nation, including seven matches in the UEFA Nations League and six matches in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Väisänen has signed a four-year contract with Austin FC and will play for the club over the coming years. He will be an important part of the team and will help them achieve their goals.

IF Elfsborg is currently in 7th place in Allsvenskan with 21 points after 15 matches. They have won five matches, drawn six times and lost four matches. They have also scored 20 goals and conceded 18 goals during the season.
